Claire Walker, MSN, CNM (she/her) embarked on her journey into the field of midwifery with a deep passion for empowering individuals assigned female at birth to take a confident and active role in managing their own healthcare experience. Fully understanding that true wellness encompasses not only physical health but also mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, Claire takes a holistic approach in her practice at Candescent Health in South Bend, IN. She dedicates time with each client to carefully consider all dimensions of a person’s overall wellness when developing personalized treatment and wellness plans, ensuring a comprehensive and supportive care experience.

Margaret Gerwels is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner focused on compassionate, patient-centered care. She bases treatment plans on the latest research, tailored to each patient's needs. Margaret holds a BSN from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay and an MSN from Purdue University, providing her with a holistic approach to care. She emphasizes listening, open communication, and shared decision-making to create personalized care plans. Passionate about preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and health education, Margaret builds trusting patient relationships. Outside work, she enjoys reading, crocheting, photography, traveling, and time with her husband and seven children.

Patient Experience Lead
Kelli is the Patient Experience Lead at Candescent Health & Wellness and an aspiring nutritionist and holistic health coach studying at Purdue Global. A certified personal trainer, she integrates this knowledge into her wellness practice. Previously, she worked in emergency medicine while pursuing EMT-B certification but shifted focus to nutrition and holistic health. Kelli joined Candescent to align her career with her values and appreciates its collaborative, authentic, safe, and compassionate care environment.
