Low testosterone, properly diagnosed.

Mariah B.

Claire is a wonderful provider who truly cares about the well-being of her patients. What I love about Candescent is that it doesn’t have a medical feel to it. When you go in for your appointment the setting is more similar to a therapists …

My trip to Candescent Health began with a lot of questions. Questions I had to ask myself before I even got in the door, questions about what I would do to fight for my own body and wellness, and questions as to how I could get back to a …

Low testosterone affects energy, mood, muscle, weight, sleep and libido — often all at once, and often blamed on age. It is diagnosable and treatable.

Treatment starts with labs and continues with them. TRT is a serious long-term therapy, and monitoring it properly is part of doing it properly.

What low T looks like

The symptoms that bring men in:

  • Persistent fatigue
  • Loss of muscle mass and strength
  • Increased body fat, particularly around the middle
  • Low mood or irritability
  • Reduced libido
  • Difficulty with erections
  • Poor sleep
  • Difficulty concentrating

How treatment works

We begin with a consultation and comprehensive labs, because testosterone alone does not tell the story. If treatment is indicated, the plan comes with a monitoring schedule attached.

If the labs do not support TRT, we will say so and look for what else is going on. Fatigue and low libido have plenty of other causes worth finding.

What it costs

Priced at consultation

Lab work and medication are priced separately. Ask for the current figures before starting.

Questions we get asked

Do I need a referral?
No referral required.
How often will I be seen?
Regularly, and more often at the start while we get the dose right. Ongoing monitoring is part of the treatment, not an optional add-on.
Will TRT affect fertility?
It can, and that is a conversation to have before starting rather than after. If fertility matters to you, tell us at the first visit.
Is this covered by insurance?
Sometimes, depending on your labs and your plan. Call us and we will check.

Still deciding?

Still deciding about TRT?

That is a completely normal place to be. Nothing is booked by asking, and if this turns out not to be the right treatment for you, we will say so.

We answer inquiries on the days we are open, usually within one business day. Nothing here is an appointment until somebody from the practice has spoken to you.

Ask about TRT

Leave us a name and a number and we'll come back to you about this — usually within one business day. No appointment booked, nothing committed.
